To solve a problem of very heavy signaling traffic:
If you have installed
e
maGEN
and your system exhibits a problem
of very heavy signaling traffic, you can solve this problem by using
two RS232 cables. This requires:
•One
e
maGEN
-PC
•Two
e
maGEN
cards installed in the PC
Two RS232 cables
Two OCD cards with sufficient MIM modules defined on them.
To program this configuration:
1. Use the first RS232 cable to connect the first OCD card to the
first
e
maGEN
card. On the IVM/Serial Applications Screen (Y-I)
enter the location of that OCD card and enter IVM 1 in the APP1
parameter for that row.
2. Use the second RS232 cable to connect the second OCD card to
the second
e
maGEN
card. On the IVM/Serial Applications
Screen (Y-I) enter the location of that OCD card and enter IVM 2
in the APP1 parameter for that row.
NOTE
In order to assure proper functioning of the
Speech Recognition feature, it is recom-
mended that adequate memory be installed
in the
e
maGEN
-PC.
128 MB memory should be added to an
e
maGEN
-PC with an initial memory of 128
MB, for every four additional voice ports
installed in the system -- when upgrading
from the initial four voice ports.
19.3 DEFINING THE
e
maGEN
HUNT GROUP
Define the
e
maGEN
/IVM hunt group:
Step 1
1. From the Station Group Features heading, select the Hunt
Groups Screen.
The program displays the Hunt Groups I-H Screen.
2. Move the cursor down to the row with the first unassigned hunt
group number, which will be used to designate the
e
maGEN
hunt group DN.
