Punctured tyres
Your car is fitted with tubelesstyres, which will not normallylose
air immediatelya sharpobject penetratesthe casing(providedthe
object remainsin the tyre!).However, if you are aware that a tyre is
punctured, drive at a reduced speed and with caution until the spare
wheel can be fitted. Always have punctured tyres permanently
repaired or replaced as soon as possible.
Replacing tyres
Wheel rims and tyres are matched to suit the handling
characteristicsof the car. Changing their specificationmay
adverselyaffect your safety.
Only fit replacementwheels or tyres that conform to the
specificationshown in ’TechnicalData’(at the backof this book), or
have been approvedby a Roverdealer.
Care Points .........
Keep the valve caps screwed
down firmly to prevent dirt
from entering the valve.
Frequently inspect the tread
and side walls of the tyres for
signs of distortion (bulges),
cuts and wear, as well as
punctures to the casing.
