Removal (Column Shift)
Remove upper and lower cover. See UPPER & LOWER COVER . Place shift lever in Park. Turn lock
cylinder to RUN position. Press locking tab and remove cable from bottom of bearing and housing assembly.
Pry locking tab on opposite end and remove cable from linear shift base adapter. Remove cable end from park
lock latch.
Installation
Place shift lever in Park. Insert cable end into park lock latch. Snap cable locking tab into place on linear shift
base adapter. Turn lock cylinder to RUN position. Snap connector body to bearing and housing assembly. Turn
lock cylinder to LOCK position.
Adjustment
Place shift lever in Park. Turn key to OFF-LOCK position and pull key halfway out. Unlock park lock cable
adjuster and allow cable to balance out. See Fig. 3 . Lock cable adjuster. Ensure that key can only be removed
with shift lever in Park and lock cylinder in OFF
LOCK position. Install upper and lower cover.
