(k) Route and secure the V3 harness with the
black 4P connector to the vehicle harness
with two medium wire ties to the left of the
steering column. (Fig. 4-6)
(1) Ensure that these wire ties do NOT
secure the fog light switch harness.
5. Status Monitor Installation.
(a) Connect the V3 harness' black 4P connector
to the status monitor. (Fig. 5-1)
(1) Verify connectors are plugged in
securely.
(b) Insert the status monitor into the knockout
opening in the dash cover. (Fig. 5-1)
(1) Verify the status monitor sits firmly in
the cover.
(c) Secure the V3 harness to the vehicle harness
with one medium wire tie. (Fig. 5-1)
6. V3 Wire Harness Installation. (Continued)
(a) Locate the vehicle's brace in the driver's side
behind the center cluster. Attach one large
foam tape to the brace. (Fig. 6-1)
(1) Verify the edge of the brace is covered.
(b) Locate the vehicle's brace in the driver's side
behind the center cluster. Attach one large
foam tape to the brace. (Fig. 6-2)
(1) Attach tape to both ends of the bracket.
(2) Verify the edge of the brace is covered.
