System Dial By Name. You may consider these reasons impor-
tant enough to have a second OCD card even with an
e
MAGEN
system of 12 or fewer ports;
• An OCD card can be located in any card position except for the
slot reserved for the MPD card.
The selected OCD card position may be either:
• An undefined card position;
• A card position previously defined for an OCD card, for purposes
other than
e
maGEN
voice channels, if that OCD card has avail-
able space for the required number of MIMs to supply the
needed voice channels for
e
maGEN
.
3. Move the cursor to the selected card position.
4. Type ocd if this is a new OCD card position.
NOTES
If your
unit
e
400 system has the model
STS MPD card in a single cabinet, you
should have already adjusted the cabinet
type to the Extended option.
For
unit
e
400 and
unit
e
1000 configura-
tion programming, you should have already
decided the number of cabinets in your sys-
tem.
Step 2
1. Press the [Edit Units] icon with the cursor on the OCD card in
the Card Configuration Y-S Screen.
The program displays the OCD Card Module Definition screen.
2. Move the cursor to each potential location for a MIM on the OCD
card dedicated to
e
maGEN
.
3. Type mim, followed by ENTER, in each of the selected module
positions.
4. Press the [Save] icon to save your data entry.
Step 3
1. Press the [System Info] icon while at either:
the Card Configuration Y-S Screen, referred to in Step 2, above,
or
the OCD Card Module Definition Screen referred to in Step 2,
above.
