Entering an unassigned card position or a position assigned to a
card other than an OCD or COL/CHL/COG card brings an error
message. For
e
maGEN
programming purposes, data entry only
deals with OCD cards.
The program automatically displays the default baud rate appropri-
ate to the application.
4. Leave the parity field blank when entering IVM1 or IVM2 in one
of the APP fields.
5. Enter IVM 1 in the APP1 field.
If you make the entry without a space, the system will automatically
enter it. If you enter the value in a higher number application field
(APP2-5), and there is an available lower number field, the program
automatically moves the entry to the lowest field.
The entry IVM 1 designates the first OCD card holding MIM(s). The
entry IVM 2 designates the second OCD card holding MIM(s). You
would use the IVM 2 entry only if:
• There is a requirement for two cards in a 16 port system.
• You have installed a second card to balance system load.
If there is a need to designate a specific

maGEN
application, it
should be on a different serial use line.
Up to 10 OCD cards can be used in a
unit
e
1000 system, with a
maximum of 28 IVM ports.
6. Press the [Save] icon to save your data entry.
If you need help in remembering OCD card locations:
• Press the [System Info] icon to display the CARDS INFO
Screen.
Note the required information and press the [Prev} icon, to return to
the IVM/Serial Applications Screen.
