Canon’s Wireless File Transmitter WFT-E1 enables
wireless image transfer directly to a computer from
most EOS digital SLRs. Photographers can concentrate
on shooting while images are automatically transferred
in the background. Whether working on location or in
the studio, the WFT-E1 is a useful addition to any
professional's kit bag. It offers several ways of
transmitting image data: directly to a Wi-Fi enabled
computer, to a remote server through a Wireless
Access Point, or via a wired Ethernet connection.
For Sports Photography and Photojournalism
Wireless File transfer has already found a home with sports photographers
and photojournalists, who benefit from the speed and ease of transferring
images while they shoot. Files are sent to a local computer, where an assistant
manages and transmits them immediately. This way, the photographer can
meet tight deadlines and even receive feedback on images while shooting.
For Studio Photography
Studio photographers can transfer images as they shoot or after the shooting
session. Automatic transfer allows the art director, client, and assistants to give
instant feedback during the session. At the end of the session, images can be
transferred to an FTP server via wireless or wired LAN. The antenna provides a
60-metre transmission range, more than sufficient for most studios.
For Wedding Photography
The WFT-E1 gives wedding photographers one less thing to worry about on
the day. Free to roam about the ceremony and reception, photographers won't
miss important shots while offsite downloading images to the computer.
Results can be shown instantly in print or on screen, and orders taken on the
spot from clients and guests.
