o PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
Clean the printer as often as required. Lubricate it once a
year, or more often if it is being used heavily. To perform
maintenance tasks:
1.
Make sure the power is off.
2.
Remove the tractor cover and the paper cover.
3.
Remove the paper and ribbon cartridge.
Note

Apart, for complete instructions on removing the
carrier assembly and carrier shaft.
4.
Using gauze or absorbent cotton, wipe the dirt off of
the carrier shaft.
5.
Apply four drops of tellus lubrication oil to each of the
felt wipers, which are located under the carrier
assembly.

Find the detector plate. It is on the right side of the
printer, hidden just below the on/off switch (Figure 7,
#1).
7. Use a brush to remove any paper dust (Figure 7, #2).
