7.9 Maxitrol Pre-regulator Calibration
Required Tools and Materials:
• Flat Tip Screwdriver
• DWYER # 1212 water column (0-16") gas pressure test kit
• Allen head wrench set
• NFPA-approved pipe sealant (i.e. Megaloc Multipurpose Thread Sealant)
• Leak detector compound (soapy water)
The Maxitrol 325-3 regulator has a maximum inlet pressure of 10 PSI. Alpha Technologies
recommends all installations range between 1-2 PSI for consistent of gas ow.
An external water trap must be supplied outside the enclosure in accordance with local, state,
and National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) codes. Water sent through the gas lines to the
regulator system can damage the secondary demand regulator.
