Functions in Advanced User

• SET TO DEFAULT (Se page 174).
• AF SWITCHING ON
/OFF (Automatic
frequency update) – The AF function
makes sure that the strongest available
transmitter for a chosen programme is
used.
• REGIONAL ON/OFF
(Regional radio
programme with automatic frequency
update activated) – This function makes it
possible to stay tuned to a regional trans-
mitter even if the signals are weak.
• EON (Enhanced Other Networks)
LOCAL/DISTANT
– This function is
used to indicate if the radio programme
you are listening to is to be interrupted for
traffic bulletins or news broadcasts (if
these functions are selected) only if the
signal is strong (LOCAL) or if the radio
should also try to pick up weaker signals
(DISTANT).
• NETWORK ALL
/TUNED – This
function is used to indicate if the radio
programme you are listening to is to be
interrupted for traffic bulletins or news
broadcasts (if these functions are
selected) only if the message comes from
the channel you are listening to, such as
P1 (TUNED), or if the programme is to
be interrupted regardless of which radio
channel the bulletin/broadcast comes
from (ALL).
• LANGUAGE – Select which language is
to be used in the radio display (English,
German, French or Swedish). Only works
in PTY mode.
• ASC (Active Sound Control) ON
/OFF
(Active volume control) – The ASC
function automatically adjusts the radio
volume according to the speed of the car.
• ASC TABLE – Choose a level for the
ASC function (LOW/MID/HIGH).
• SRC ON
/OFF – This is used to activate/
deactivate the function that reduces the
treble when reception is poor. This might
seem like improved reception.
• SRC TABLE - Choose a level for the
SRC function (LOW/MID/HIGH).
• TAPE DOLBY ON
/OFF – Activate/
deactivate Dolby Noise Reduction when
you listen to a cassette (HU 403/603).
• BACK and SAVE (See left column).
• BACK without SAVE (See left column).
