Cube dispenser does not work.
• No ice cubes, Remove storage container. If cubes are frozen to
wire arm, remove cubes,
• No ice cubes. Icemaker or wafer supply turned off.
• Irregular ice clumps in storage container. Break up as many as
you can with fingertip pressure and discard the remaining
clumps.
Water has poor taste/odor
If water dispenser has not been used for an extended period,
dispense water in regular manner until all water in reservoir is
replenished with fresh water,
« Poor-tasting incoming water. Install a water filter.
Water dispenser does not work
» Water supply line turned off or not connected.
9 Supply line may be clogged with sediment.
Water In first glass is warm
9 Allow about 24 hours for water to cool to proper temperature
after refrigerator is first installed.
9 If water dispenser has not been used for extended period,
water in first glass will not be as cool as in succeeding glasses,
9 If water reservoir has been drained, allow several hours for
replenished supply to chill.
Moisture forms on outside of refrigerator
9 Not unusual during periods of high humidity.
Moisture collects inside
» Too frequent or too long door openings,
9 In humid weather, air carries moisture into refrigerator when
doors are opened.
Water on floor
9 The drain in the bottom of the freezer may be clogged
Remove any ice on the freezer bottom and clean the drain. Refer
to page 13.
Hot air from bottom of refrigerator
9 Normal air flow cooling motor. In the refrigeration process,
it is normal that heat be expelled in the area under the
refrigerator. Some floor coverings will discolor at these normal
and safe operoting temperatures. Your floor covering supplier
should be consulted if you object to this discoloration.
Interior light does not work
9 No power at outlet,
9 Light bulb needs replacing. See page 13,
Refrigerator hos odor
9 food with strong odors should be tightly covered,
* Check for spoiled food.
• Interior needs cleaning. Refer to page 12,
9 Defrost water system needs cleaning,
9 Keep open box of baking soda in refrigerator; replace every
three months.

Water Filter Accessory

Your ice cubes can only be as fresh-tasting as the water that
produces them. That‘s why it's a good idea to purify the wafer
with a water filter.
The water filter is an optional part at extra cost and is available
from your Seors Service Center. Order Filter No. 978488 and if
may be installed in minutes when attached to the inlet woter
tube connection.
Water Supply Accessory Kit

A water supply kit containing copper tubing, shut-off valve,
fittings and instructions needed to connect the icemaker to your
cold water line is also available from your Seors store or Sears
Service Center.
Moving Precautions
Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet, remove all food
and clean ond dry the inferior. Secure all loose items by taping
them securely in place. Keep the refrigerator in an upright
position during actual moving and in the van. Secure the
refrigerator in the van to prevent movement, and protect the
outside with a blanket,
Vacation Precautions
For extended vocotions or absences, shut off power to the
refrigerator, turn the numbered control to the OFF position,
and clean the interior with a baking soda solution of one
tablespoon of baking soda to one quart of water. Wipe dry.
To prevent odors, leove an open box of baking sodo in the
refrigerator. Leave the doors open,
For shorter vocotions, remove perishable foods and leave
controls at their regular settings. However, if room temperature
is expected to drop below 60°F,, follow the same instructions as
for extended vocations.
Set icemaker to the OFF position and shut off wafer supply to
refrigerator.
