" “ ] Turn the equipment on (TV, Cable Box, VCR) and set up the TV mode and antenna input using the SET UP
J FEATURES and INPUT SELECT sections of this manual.
• Antenna users, piease select TV’* in the SET UP menu.
• Cable users, please select “CABLE” in the SET UP menu.
• If a Cable Box is used, select "ANT 2*" in the INPUT SELECT menu and tune the TV to the appropriate channel
for the Cable Box (usually channel 3 or 4).
• If no Cable Box is used, select "ANT r in the INPUT SELECT menu.
Antenna and External Video Connection
The following shows the standard connections which can be used for most situations.
NOTE: This Receiver has the "PICTURE IN PICTURE” feature that uses two (2) tuners. This allows you to watch two (2)
live broadcasts at the same time without an external video source. No special connections are required for PIP.
Antenna Connection (No Cable Box or VCR)
Use this configuration when connecting the TV directly to the antenna or Cable TV system (without a Cable Box). Be
sure to select the correct mode (see the Set Up Features section in this Manual for details).
