2.5 Bumper, control light, indicator relay and label installation

Mark the aluminium bumper holder (1) (see magnified section) and cut out the semi-circular recess as per the
dimension details (see magnified section) on the aluminium bumper holder (1).

Cut out the recess on the bumper (2) as per the dimension details (see magnified section).
If the edges of the cut are not embossed on the inside of the bumper, mark the bumper (2) on its inside
and then cut out the recess.

Unclip the retaining clips (3) on the cover (g)
Place the cover (g) in the centre of the bumper (4), flush with the recess.
Mark the centre (5) (see magnified section) on the bumper (4).
Take away the cover (g) and drill a hole 4 mm in diameter in the bumper (4).
The illustration shows where to drill the hole on the left-hand side of the bumper cut-out. Proceed
accordingly on the right-hand side.
Clip the retaining clips (3) back on to the cover (g).

Enlarge the hole (6) as per the dimension details (see magnified section).
Ensure that you do not make the recess too large since otherwise you will be unable to secure the cover
properly.The illustration shows the enlarged hole on the left-hand side of the bumper cut-out. Proceed accordingly
on the right-hand side.

Insert the control light (7) into slot No. 11 in the instrument cluster (8) and turn it through an angle of 90°.

Remove the indicator relay (9) and replace it with the indicator relay (e) from the installation kit.

roadster only
Affix the nose weight label ”max. 75 kg” (l) and the information label ”Instructions for use” (m) on the inside of the
boot lid.

coupé only
Affix the nose weight label ”max. 75 kg” (l) and the information label ”Instructions for use” (m) on the inside of the
boot lid.
Then conduct a function test (see section 2.8).
Install all the parts you previously removed in reverse order.
