SORTING THE WASH
1. Sort the wash according to...
x Type of fabric / care label symbol
Cotton, mixed fibre, synthetic, wool.
x Colour
Divide whites and coloureds.
Wash new coloured items separately.
x Size
Itemsofdifferentsizesinthesameloadwill
improve the washing action and tend to
distribute more uniformly in the drum.
x Sensitivity
Wash delicate articles separately: use special
programmes for pure new wool
, curtains
and other delicate articles.
Always remove curtain glides or wash
curtains and glides inside a net bag. Only
wash fabrics that are suitable for machine
washing. Wash stockings, belts and other
small items in special net bags for washing
machines or in a pillow-case with zip-
fastener.
2. Remember to empty pockets
Coins, safety pins and similar can damage
laundry and the washing machine.
3. Fasteners
Close zips and fasten buttons or hooks;
loose belts or ribbons should be tied
together.
STAIN REMOVAL
x Blood, milk, egg, and other organic
substances are generally dissolved by the
action of enzymes in normal detergent.
x To remove red wine, coffee, tea, grass and
fruit stains, etc. add a biological stain
removing agent to
or add bleach to
(if provided) of the detergent drawer.
x Particularly stubborn stains can be treated
before the wash.

overfilling.

Note: overloading the machine gives
unsatisfactory washing results and creased
