Standard operations
Maintenance work:

1200 Mile Running-in service
Maintenance work:

Change the engine oil and oil filter. Use only
BMW High Performance SAE 5W-30 Synthetic
Oil (BMW part number 07 51 0 002 545).
䉯 Change the fluid in the rear axle differential.
Engine oil service
Maintenance work:

Change the engine oil and oil filter. Use only
BMW High Performance SAE 5W-30 Synthetic
Oil (BMW part number 07 51 0 002 545).
䉯 At every 2nd engine oil change: Intake air
cleaner: Replace air filter element (reduce
replacement interval in dusty operating
conditions).
䉯 At every 3rd engine oil change:
– Change the fluid in the rear axle differential.
Microfilter (not shown in CBS)
Maintenance work:
䉯 Replace ventilation microfilter every 2 years
based on the vehicle production date, or in
connection with scheduled brake fluid change.
Front brake
Maintenance work:
䉯 Replace brake pads, clean brake pad contact
points in calipers.
䉯 Brake discs: Check surface and thickness, if
necessary, replace at extra charge.*
Rear brake
Maintenance work:
䉯 Replace brake pads, clean brake pad contact
points in calipers.
䉯 Brake discs: Check surface and thickness, if
necessary, replace at extra charge.*
䉯 Parking brake: Check condition, brake lining
thickness and function, if necessary, replace at
extra charge.*
*Unless covered by Maintenance Program.
Vehicle check
Maintenance work:
䉯 Check operation of horn, headlight flasher and
hazard warning flashers.
䉯 Check instrument and control lighting and
heater/air-conditioning blower.
䉯 Check lighting system: turn signals, back-up,
license plate, interior (incl. map, reading
lights), glovebox, luggage area lights.
䉯 Safety belts: Check condition and function.
䉯 Check windshield wiper and washer jet
positions.
䉯 Tires: Check tread depth, wear pattern, outer
condition, inflation pressure. If necessary,
correct pressure.
䉯 Reset Tire Pressure Monitor.
䉯 Battery: Check state of charge (magic eye) and
charge, if required.
