01 Adaptive Cruise Control
(ACC) and the radar sensor
controlled Front Assist system
adapt your speed to that of the
vehicle ahead and maintain a
constant distance set by the driver.
If Front Assist detects you are
getting too close to the vehicle in
front, it will warn you in two stages:
visually and acoustically, and will
then automatically start braking,
to a standstill if necessary.
Optional on all models except
Driver Alert system.
02 The Keyless entry system
enables you to enter your vehicle
and even start the engine using a
button in the centre console, without
taking the key out of your pocket.
In addition, this option on Passat
with hands free boot opening which
uses a sensor beneath the rear
bumper, so having your hands full
while trying to open your boot is no
longer a chore. Estate models
(excluding Alltrack) can also be
hands free tailgate
opening as well as featuring an
electric tailgate.
03 Dynamic Chassis Control
(DCC) allows you to select Sport,
Comfort or Normal settings for your
journey with a touch of a button,
and adapts the damping control and
shock absorption rate to the road
conditions and driving style you
require within milliseconds. Optional
on S, Executive and Alltrack models.
04 Bi-xenon headlights feature
dynamic curve lighting and
automatic range adjustment
providing better illumination of the
road ahead, on bends and when
turning. LED daytime running lights
are a striking feature and LED rear
tail lights ensure your vehicle is more
visible during the day. As an added
convenience, headlight washers keep
your headlights free from dirt at all
times. Standard on Executive Style
and optional on all other models.

05 Volkswagen’s Park Assist system
has long made parallel parking
system combines conventional Park
Assist with the added functionality
of reverse parking into a space at
90° to the kerb. The driver activates
the system by pressing a button on
the centre console. Using ultrasonic
parking sensors, Park Assist will
detect a large enough parking space
for either reverse or parallel parking
and the assisted parking process can
begin. Having put the vehicle into
reverse, all the driver has to do is
operate the accelerator, clutch and
brake, while keeping a good lookout.
The Passat then takes care of the
steering into its chosen space.
Further improvements mean Park
Assist can now parallel park in
particularly small spaces only
0.8m longer than the vehicle.

06 The large electric glass
panoramic sunroof allows in
three times more light into the Passat
Estate than a conventional sunroof,
providing an extra dimension of light
and space. Optional on all models
07 Lane Assist is a camera
controlled lane tracking aid
that countersteers your vehicle
if it drifts from your chosen
lane, and gives an audible
warning should you remove
your hands from the steering
wheel. Lane Assist also includes
ordered in conjunction with the
radio systems. Optional on
all models.
Must be ordered in conjunction
with Convenience pack on S and
with heated windscreen.
