The Seasucker 6018 with a mounted KX3 is shown in Figure 2, below. Using the 4‐1/2” vacuum mount,
the KX3 is secured to the driver side window of a 2012 Honda Civic. Also note the cable dress and
clearance to the curtain airbag’s deployment path (driver’s side post in background).

Powering the KX3 and KXPA100
Vehicle accessory power systems are notorious for conductive emissions, and they may come in many
forms – both transient and steady state:
‐ Load dump surges
‐ Engine starting transients
‐ Inverter noise (hybrids, especially)
‐ Poor line isolation (fan motors, relays, and solenoids)
‐ Transients due to accessories being switched on and off (a/c compressors and electric fuel
pumps are two examples)
