The EOS-1Ds Mark II delivers all the
fine detail of medium format,
billboard quality files at remarkable
speeds. Its full frame 16.7 Megapixel
CMOS sensor provides enough
resolution for studio and commercial
photography while also giving
photographers the flexibility to crop
images after the shoot. A remarkably
low signal to noise ratio allows
extension of the ISO range to 50-3200
for performance in almost all lighting
conditions. With a sensor the size of
a traditional 35mm film frame,
the EOS-1Ds Mark II can take
advantage of the full angle of view
offered by Canon's EF lenses.

For me, everything revolves around the lighting.
I start with one light and build it up block by block
composing around it. The process for this picture was
made so much easier thanks to the speed of the
EOS-1Ds Mark II. I could see how things looked right
away and was able to make instant adjustments,
which is key when working to a tight time schedule
with lots of people. Clients demand faster turnaround
times these days, so digital capture has become
essential. It makes shooting an interactive process
for everyone involved and gives me much more
control than ever before. And with the EOS-1Ds Mark II,
quality is never an issue.
