Display Stand with Active Speaker System
Designed to suit living areas with low line TV furniture, the optional Display Stand with Active
Speaker System for the NX710 and NX810* Series complements the exceptional style of this series
and allows the TV to be set up in a upwards styling for the best viewing angle. The Display Stand
with Active Speaker System is equipped with built-in speakers (2.1 ch/40 W) that, when connected
to your BRAVIA TV with an HDMI cable, produce an expansive sound of exceptional quality. The
speaker volume is easily controlled with the BRAVIAs remote and the system is compatible with
BRAVIAs Scene Select function.
On/Off Conscious
In the past, TV and AV systems have always been thought of solely as home
electronics. The goal of Monolithic design is to change that perception and
compel people to also think of them as furniture – something that should
look good in the living space whether being used or not. As an object that
takes up a central position in the the living room, design is a major factor in
choosing a TV.
When switched on, the viewer should find it inviting to look at the
screen. When switched off, the single flat surface of the TV should also be
something that augments the overall design of the living room.
0° / Upward Style
Contemporary living room TV furniture has adopted
a distinct trend towards low-line cabinets. To adapt
without compromising viewing angles, select BRAVIA
models provide the option of reclining on their stand
at a angle. Presenting the middle of the screen to
the viewer’s eyes ensures a more natural, comfortable
viewing experience, similar to the way laptop screens
can be adjusted to provide a comfortable viewing
angle.
Selected BRAVIA LCD TVs can be set to adopt the
6° Upward Style either during initial set up, when
attaching the screen to the supplied pedestal stand, or
on the NX710/810 Series, by simply tilting the screen.
6° Upward Style was adopted as the result of in-depth
study into the natural viewing environment of the
average living room.

Monolithic Design
Based on the Japanese design concept ‘Tatazumai’ – when an
object both stands out in the space but also blends in,
Monolithic design aims to fit with the decor and
style yet be the most attractive and eye
catching element in that space.
Contrasting Materials
Surrounded by sleek brushed aluminium at the sides and covered by a
glass sheet at the front, selected BRAVIA screens employ materials that sit
in high contrast to each other, yet blend the design of these two elements
seamlessly with a minimalist, functional style to form a simple, flush
viewing surface without distraction from decorative bezels or elements. On
or off, all Monolithic Design TVs function as a piece of art.
*Optional Display Stand with Active Speaker System available for
40”, 46” and 55” NX710 and NX810 Series models. Sold separately.
