28 - Testing Procedures

HDScan:
1. Select IO > HardDrive.
2. Skip HDSpecs.
3. Move the selector “>” to HDScan (hard drive scan).
Important: This test can take 30 to 50 minutes. You may want to save this test (and
the battery life test) until the end, or for when the time can be allotted. If postponing,
remember to complete this test later, if needed.
4. Plug the iPod into an iPod power adapter, before continuing.
5. Press Select to begin the hard drive scan:
• The screen will display START SCAN..., which indicates that the scan is running.
• When finished, the Hard Drive screen will be displayed.
Pass = no error message was displayed.
6. Skip HDSMARTData.
