Adjusting the water softener
The programme marker must be aligned with on/off indicator.
1. Turn the knob until the programme marker is aligned with . Make sure that the appliance is in programme
selection mode.
2. Press and hold the start button until the start indicator and the on/off indicator start to flash.
3. Press start button the start to flash.
• The intermittent flashing of refers to the current set level,, e.g. 5 flashes + pause + 5 flashes = level 5.
4. Press the start button again and again to change the setting. Each time you press the start button the level
number increases.
5. To confirm the setting and deactivate the appliance, turn the knob until the programme marker is aligned with the
on/off indicator.
Before first use
1. Make sure that the current level of the water
softener agrees with the hardness of the water
supply. If not, adjust the level of the water
softener. Contact your local water authority to
know the water hardness in your area.
2. Fill the salt container with special salt for
dishwasher.
3. Fill the rinse aid dispenser with special rinse aid for
dishwasher.
4. Open the water tap.
5. Start a programme to remove any processing
residuals that can still be inside the appliance. Do
not use detergent and do not load the baskets.
