What should I do when the automatic safety system detects a malfunction?
The programme is interrupted and various indicators (depending on model) point to the source of the fault.
Fault description table:
a. Water inlet fault (no or insufficient water supply)
The display alternately shows “FH”. Switch off the
appliance by turning the programme selector to
the “ ” position and unplug it.
Check whether:
•
the tap is fully turned on and the water supply
pressure is sufficient;
•
the water inlet hose is kinked;
•
the mesh filter in the water inlet hose is blocked
(see “Care and Maintenance”);
•
the water in the water inlet hose is frozen.
•
the appliance has a safety hose and the safety
valve is open (red indicator in the safety valve
inspection window).
In this case replace it with a new safety hose.
Reconnect the appliance.
Reselect the desired programme and press the
“Start/Pause”
button to continue with the
programme (do not add detergent for this programme).
If the fault re-occurs, contact the After-Sales (see
“After-Sales Service”)
b.Draining out fault
The display alternately shows “FP”. Switch the
appliance off by turning the programme selector to
the “ ” position and unplug it.
Check whether:
•
the drain hose is kinked (see “Installation”);
•
the pump impeller is obstructed (see “Cleaning
The Foreign Body Trap”).
•
the water in the drain hose is frozen.
•
if water has remained in the drum, you can drain
it by following the instructions in the chapter
“Draining Residual Water”.
IMPORTANT
: Before draining, allow the wash
water to cool down.
Reconnect the appliance.
Reselect the desired programme and press the
“Start/Pause”
button to continue with the
programme (do not add detergent for this programme).
If the fault re-occurs, contact After-Sales Service
(see “After-Sales Service”).
c. Electrical module fault
The display shows “F5” to “F15”.
Select a programme and press the
“Start/Pause”
button again.
If the fault re-occurs, contact After-Sales Service
(see “After-Sales Service”).
d.Water Stop fault
(depending on model)
The pump operates and the display shows “FA”.
Switch the appliance off by turning the programme
selector to the “ ” position, unplug the appliance
and turn off the water tap.
The “Water Stop” fault may have been
triggered by:
1.
too much foam.
2.
a leak in the inlet hose or in the appliance.
Tilt the appliance forwards carefully to allow the
water to drain out.
Then:
1.
Reconnect the appliance,
2.
turn on water supply (if
“Start/Pause”
button is not
pressed, but the machine begins to fill, turn off the
water supply tap and contact After-Sales Service),
3.
reselect the desired programme and press the
“Start/Pause”
button.
If the fault occurs again, contact After-Sales
Service (see “After-Sales Service”).
e. Foam detection
The display shows “F4”; too much foam
interrupted the washing programme.
1.
Press the
“Start/Pause”
button.
2.
Move the programme selector to the “Drain”
programme.
3.
Start this programme by pressing the
“Start/Pause”
button again.
4.
After the “Drain” programme is finished, start
the original washing programme again, but avoid
excessive detergent dosing.
If your washing machine has an LCD-display,
1.
Cancel the preselected programme by pressing
the “Reset” button.
2.
After the “Drain” programme is finished, start
the original washing programme again, but avoid
excessive detergent dosing.

FH “Water inlet fault”
FP “Draining fault”
F5 to F15 “Electrical components fault”
FA “Water stop fault”
F4 “Foam detection / Overdosing of detergent”
