The purpose of the endurance testing
laboratory is in the name: Here, washing
machines and tumble dryers are put
through their paces in a 5000 cycle
equating to a product life of 20 years.
Other laboratories, such as the laundry
care centre, are no less precise and
demanding. Test laundry is loaded into
machines by the basket load. And while the
machines plod on, their efficiency is being
monitored by high tech measuring
equipment. These are the extents Miele
goes to when proving the efficacy of
existing programmes and developing new
ones.
Alongside testing finished appliances,
Miele also inspects components before,
during and after fitting, as well as the
packaging which must meet the highest of
standards.
