1998-2004
Note: 1997 and earlier models use the Kelsey Hayes
310 controller which cannot be repaired.
1998-2004 models with 4-wheel ABS use the Kelsey
Hayes Dodge controller located near the battery
attached to the hydraulic unit as shown on right (top).
Dodge trucks with rear wheel only ABS use the Kelsey
Hayes 125 or RWAL (Rear Wheel Anti Lock) module as
shown on right (bottom).
Removal Procedure (Kelsey Hayes Dodge)
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Push the harness connector locks to release the
2 connectors from the CAB (Controller for Anti-
lock Brakes). See detail (right top)
3. Remove the 4 screws attaching the CAB to the
HCU.
4. Remove the CAB.
5. Cover the exposed surface of the hydraulic unit
with aluminum foil.
Removal Procedure (Kelsey Hayes 125/RWAL)
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Push the harness connector locks to release the
2 connectors from the CAB (Controller for Anti-
lock Brakes). See detail (right bottom).
3. Remove the 2 screws attaching the CAB to the
vehicle.
4. Remove the CAB.
5. Cover the exposed surface of the hydraulic unit
with aluminum foil.
