2005 and later models use the Bosch 5.4 controller (see
image right).
Removal Procedure
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Pull out the side locking tab (see arrow, right) on
the main electrical connector and remove the
connector.
3. Remove the small pump motor connector from
the back of the module.
4. Remove the 6 torx screws and separate the CAB
(Controller for Anti-lock Brakes)(1) from the
hydraulic unit (2).
5. Remove the CAB.
6. Cover the exposed surface of the hydraulic unit
with aluminum foil.
Installation Procedure
1. Make sure the mating surface of the hydraulic
unit is clean and dry.
2. Attach the CAB to the hydraulic unit using the 6
torx screws.
3. Connect the 2 electrical connectors. Press in the
locking tab on the main connector.
4. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
5. Start the engine and make sure the brake
warning lights go out.
