What to do if...
Remedying small malfunctions
If the programme progress display indicates one of the following fault
codes during operation:
– END flashes 1x (problem with water intake),
– END flashes 2x (problem with water drainage),
– END flashes 4x (door open),
please look at the following table.
When the fault is remedied, press the START/PAUSE button.
If there are other fault codes (one or more flashing lights on the pro-
gramme progress display):
Switch the appliance off and on again. Re-set the programme. Press the
START/PAUSE button.
If the fault is displayed again, please contact the Customer Care De-
partment.
Problem Possible cause Remedy
Washing machine does
not work.
Mains plug not plugged in
or fuse not working.
Plug in mains plug. Check
fuse.
Door not closed properly.
Close door – there should be
an audible click.
START/PAUSE button was
not pressed for long
enough.
Press START/PAUSE button
for longer.
Door cannot be closed. Child safety device engaged. Release child safety device.
END display flashes 4x. Door is not closed properly.
Close door properly. Start
programme again.
END display flashes 1x.
(Problems with water
inflow)
Tap turned off. Turn tap on.
Filter in the screw connec-
tion of the inlet hose is
blocked.
Turn off the water tap. Un-
screw hose, take out filter
and clean it.
Water tap is blocked with
limescale or faulty.
Check the water tap and
have it repaired if necessary.
