The door cannot be
opened when the
washing machine is
switched on.
The door has been locked
due to the high level of wa-
ter or high temperature.
(DOOR (DEUR/PORTE) light is
not lit).
Wait until DOOR (DEUR/
PORTE) light is lit green.
If you still need to open the
door:
turn the programme knob to
OFF (UIT/ARRET); turn pro-
gramme knob to DRAIN
(POMPEN/VIDANGE). Press
the START/PAUSE (START/
PAUZE/MARCHE/PAUSE) but-
ton.
After the water has been
drained, the door can be
opened.
A power failure has occurred.
(All display lights have gone
out).
For safety reasons, the door
remains locked for approx. 4
to 10 minutes.
If water is visible in the view-
ing window, first carry out an
emergency drain procedure
(see section “Carrying out an
emergency drain procedure”).
After approx. 4 to 10 minutes
the door can be opened by
pulling on the handle.
Detergent residues are
accumulating in the
detergent drawer.
The tap is not fully turned
on.
Turn the tap on fully.
The filter in the threaded in-
let hose fitting is clogged at
the tap or at the appliance.
Turn off the tap. Unscrew the
inlet hose from the tap and
from the machine. Clean the
filter.
The rinse water is
cloudy.
The probable cause is a de-
tergent with a high silicate
content.
This has no negative influ-
ence on the wash result; per-
haps use a liquid detergent.
When pressing a pro-
gramme option, the
corresponding light
does not light up, Err
appears in the multi-
display.
The selected additional pro-
gramme function cannot be
combined with the pro-
gramme set.
Select another function.
