Forced operation:
When the remote controller does not work, use the forced operation as the following

➀In case the remote controller isn't at hand, and the
air-conditioner is operating, press the “forced
operation”button to make it stop.Press the button
a second time, it starts to operate.
➁In case the remote controller does not work, press
the “forced operation” button, which is automatic
