In fact, Eco offers the best highway mileage
of any gas engine in America. How did we
get there? We switched to lighter-weight
wheels and ultra-low rolling resistance tires
and lowered the ride height for enhanced
aerodynamics—all the nuances that affect
drag. By incorporating smooth underbody
panels, a spoiler and a lower front grille
air shutter that closes at high speeds, air
resistance goes down. Consciousness shoots
up. Somehow, when you’re aware of the fuel
you’re saving, you’re aware of everything else.
