Until now we have been
building quattro® for our
cars. With the Audi Q7
we’ve built
a car for quattro.
Sometimes, a single question is enough to change the world: why can’t
you enjoy the outstanding driving features of an all-wheel drive in a
passenger car? This thought occurred to the Audi engineers while they
were out testing the four-by-four Iltis. From this simple question came
the idea for a permanent all-wheel drive suitable for standard production:
quattro was born.
A success story began – and still continues today: with the Audi Q7.
A new vehicle concept from the ground up, which, just like the quattro
drive itself, has been born from the wealth of ideas, the courage and the
passion of the Audi engineers.
