Audi Eciency Leads the Way
For Audi, eciency is the sum of a large number of individual
measures that combine to produce one major result – the
combination of low consumption, comfort and immense driving
pleasure. In order to reduce fuel consumption and emissions,
the engineers at Audi work intensively on all vehicle components
and systems. This applies as much to the continued development
of innovative engine technology as it does to highly ecient
drivetrain and transmission components, intelligent lightweight
body construction and streamlined aerodynamics.

about Audi Eciency
.What sounds perfectly normal now was cause for huge excitement
20 years ago, when Audi revolutionised the market with the rst 2.5
TDI engine. Since then, developments such as common-rail technol-
ogy have made TDI even more ecient. Injectors ensure the fuel is
nely and precisely distributed. Consequently, since the rst TDI, the
engines have become more economical, whilst specic output has
increased. In the Audi Q5, both the engine power and eciency are
impressive: the 2.0 TDI engine with 143bhp consumes only 5.3 l of
diesel per 100 kilometres and sits in Tax Band B2 . In addition, the
engines are characterised by good acoustics and excellent running
smoothness.
