PRODUCT SETUP
After logging in, you will see a status page. If the Internet icon is blue, the device is ready for use!
If the Internet icon
is grey and there is a icon, click on the icon and follow the steps below:
Enter the Username and Password given to you by your Internet Service Provider.
If your SIM requires a PIN, enter it and click . If necessary, the wizard may ask you to
enter the APN, Dial-Up Number, Username, and Password details given to you by your service
provider.
Select an available hotspot and enter its password to connect.
CONFIGURATION
Connection congurations will be automatically saved as Internet Proles for future use. The
DIR-518L will connect to them automatically when they are available. If you have more than one
connection available, you can manually select the connection you wish to use.
To select a connection:

- From the Prole List, you can select the radio button next to your Prole Name to use this
connection.
For more details on how to add, delete, or edit proles, please refer to in the User
Manual.
MANAGING YOUR CONNECTIONS
Turn on the DIR-518L by sliding the Router/Charger switch to
On your PC or mobile device, connect to the DIR-518L’s wireless network. Locate the Wi-Fi name
(SSID) and password for your device as printed on the included Wi-Fi Conguration Card.
Once connected, open a web browser on your mobile device or computer and type

At the login page, enter the Admin Password. By default, it should be left blank. Click .
CONNECTING TO THE DIR-518L
If the password is not blank or you have forgotten the password, reset the router
by pressing the button with a pin for 5 seconds or more, then release.
