LEDs are employed for the brake, tail
and Daytime Running Lamps, plus the
turn signals at the front, rear, and in the
side mirrors. Available active full‑LED
headlamps integrate distinctive running
lamps that express the traditional four‑
lamp look of the E‑Class in a fresh way.
Fiber‑ optic LED ambient lighting also
sets the stylish cabin aglow. A choice of
three selectable colors — warm amber
Solar, cool blue Polar, and soft white
Neutral — lets you suit your mood while
creating a tranquil atmosphere. The
footwells, console and door handles
are also automatically illuminated
whenever you’re driving in darkness.
The E‑ Class Sport, Luxury and AMG cabins
offer appointments to suit your own style.
An enhanced palette of upholstery tones
complements a wider variety of hand‑
finished wood trim: warm, traditional Burl
Walnut, dramatic Black Ash, or modern
new Brown Satin Ash with a low‑ sheen,
open‑pore finish. Optional carbon fiber
cockpit trim is an AMG exclusive.
A new 3‑pod instrument cluster features
brilliant white gauge faces on the E‑Class
Sport models, easily viewed through the
3‑spoke steering wheel. Classic black
gauges distinguish the Luxury models.
The central analog clock pays tribute to
the classic Mercedes‑Benz sedans of
the 1950s. Unique AMG instrumentation
presents crisp grey graphics, red indicators
and additional performance functions.
