CAN THE MITSUBISHI I ALERT PEDESTRIANS TO ITS PRESENCE?
Yes, the Mitsubishi i will be equipped with an Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System (AVAS) to alert pedestrians. AVAS generates the sound by reacting to
the condition of a speed sensor, a brake switch and the select lever in both forward and reverse. In other words, if you’re moving, the AVAS is making
an audible sound to let pedestrians know that you’re nearby.
WHAT ARE THE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR HOME CHARGING THAT I SHOULD KNOW ABOUT BEFORE PURCHASING A MITSUBISHI I?
Prior to purchasing your Mitsubishi i, an inspection is required to make sure you have a dedicated 15 amp outlet at home with adequate wiring to sustain
a prolonged charging time. That’s why we’ve partnered with AeroVironment (866-732-3219 or https://evportal.evsolutions.com/imiev/signin.aspx) and
Eaton’s contractor, UPA (877-635-7046 or www.Eaton.com/Mitsubishi_EV) to offer convenient home inspections. The inspection will determine if your
home’s electric system can efciently charge the Mitsubishi i. Also, be sure to review your owner’s manual before you plug in your Mitsubishi i for the
rst time. And when you’re about to start charging, always make sure your charger is plugged in before you plug in your Mitsubishi i.
WHAT ARE THE COSTS PER CHARGE AND ON A YEARLY BASIS?
At the current national average of 12 cents per kilowatt hour (kWh), it costs approximately $3.60 for every 100 miles traveled to “ll up” the Mitsubishi i.
