Chassis Speaker

Dell™OptiPlex™SX280User'sGuide



Your computer may ship with an optional chassis speaker. If you need to replace this speaker or install a new speaker, perform the following steps:

1. Follow the procedures in "Before You Begin."

2. If you are installing a new speaker, skip to step4.

3. If you are replacing the speaker:

a. Disconnect the speaker cable from the system board.

b. Press on the tab and slide the speaker out of the slot and remove the speaker and its attached cable from the computer.



4. Insert the chassis speaker into the slot and then slide the speaker until the speaker is secured.



CAUTION: Before you begin any of the procedures in this section, follow the safety instructions in the Product Information Guide.

CAUTION: To guard against electrical shock, always unplug your computer from the electrical outlet before opening the cover.
