b. Replace the optical drive (see Replacing the Optical Drive).

c. Replace the top bracket (see Replacing the Top Bracket).

d. Replace the top cover (see Replacing the Top Cover).

If you replaced the memory module in the bottom memory-module connector (DIMM2):

a. Replace the bottom cover (see Replacing the Bottom Cover).



5. Connect your computer and all attached devices to electrical outlets, and then turn them on.

If the message appears stating that memory size has changed, press <F1> to continue.



6. Log on to your computer.



7. To verify that the memory is installed correctly:

Windows Vista

Click the Start button ® ControlPanel® SystemandMaintenance.

Windows 7:

Click the Start button ® ControlPanel® SystemandSecurity® System.



8. Check the amount of memory (RAM) listed.
