fuel consumption, an electronically controlled clutch engages and disengages the alternator, allowing it to charge the battery only when the
vehicle is decelerating or braking. Otherwise, it freewheels, drawing virtually no power from the engine. Other advances include a self-leveling
rear suspension that automatically detects changes in ride height at the rear, and uses an electrically powered air compressor to rebalance the
