Aerodynamics also plays an important part in
BMW Effi cientDynamics. The innovative new
Air Curtain in the i front fascia, for example,
channels the air through two ducts in the front
air dam, then diverts it around the front wheel
arches. Though each duct is only four inches
long and one inch wide, this improves airfl ow,
reduces turbulence and increases effi ciency.
