Working Distance and Proximity Effect
Your voice will sound bigger and fuller, the closer
you hold the microphone to your lips. Proximity
effect is a dramatic boost of low frequencies
that occurs when you sing into the microphone
from less than 2 inches and gives more “body”
to your voice.
Moving away from the microphone will create a
more distant sound as the microphone picks up
more of the other sounds in the room.
