regulated sports differential distributes variable
amounts of driving force to each rear wheel and en-
sures outstanding acceleration performance in corners
and stabilises the vehicle’s response to load change;

Recuperation
increasing the generator voltage converts kinetic ener-
gy into usable electrical energy when the vehicle is
coasting or braking. This energy is used to assist the
generator during a subsequent acceleration, saving up
to 3% fuel
Start-stop-system
reduces fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions by
switching off the engine in stationary phases, e.g. at
traffic lights. The start process is initiated as soon as
the foot brake is released for a perfect getaway. May
be deactivated using a switch at any time

Speed limit display
camera based recognition and display of speed limits,
including temporary speed limit displays (e.g. above
motorways). Additionally, working within system
limits, there is an evaluation of the particular situation
in wet conditions, and speed limits displayed depend-
ing on the time of the day, road works and when using
a trailer. If a sign has not been recognised by the cam-
era the speed limit displayed will be taken from the
navigation data (where available). Additional warning
symbol in the head-up display (can be ordered as an
option).
Hold assist
holds the vehicle stationary for unlimited periods after
stopping on normal uphill and normal downhill gradi-
ents. The system is activated by push-button and al-
lows the driver to drive away easily and comfortably
without having to operate the electromechanical park-
ing brake.
Parking system plus
acoustic and visual park assist system for the front and
rear with MMI screen display; measurement is by ul-
trasonic sensors concealed in the bumpers
Parking system plus with reversing camera
acoustic and visual parking aid for front and rear, im-
age of area behind the vehicle shown on the MMI dis-
play, with dynamic display modes showing the calcu-
lated path (steer-angle dependent); includes help lines
and guidelines and identification of point at which to
apply opposite lock when parallel parking, reversing
camera concealed in the handle strip of the tailgate
Park assist
searches for suitable parking spaces along the road by
means of ultrasonic sensors, calculates the ideal park-
ing path and performs the steering action virtually au-
tomatically. Supports multi-phase parking in spaces
parallel to the road as well as parking spaces at right
angles to the direction of travel. Steering is done by
the vehicle, the driver need only accelerate and apply
the brakes
Park assist with reversing camera
functions are the same as the park assist; image of area
behind the vehicle shown on the MMI display
Cruise control
maintains any speed above approx. 30 km/h, provided
that the engine power output and engine braking
effect permit it; operated via separate steering column
stalk, set speed displayed in driver information

changes vehicle characteristics by, e.g., adapting pow-
er steering assistance, accelerator and gearshift char-
acteristics; modes available: comfort, auto, dynamic
