2.Packaging
• The packaging material is entirely recyclable,
and marked with a recycling symbol .
Adhere to current local regulations when
disposing of the packaging material.
3.Disposing of packaging material and
scrapping old appliances
• The washing machine is built from recyclable
materials. It must be disposed of in compliance
with local regulations.
• Before scrapping, remove all detergent
residues and cut off the power cable so that
the washing machine is made unusable.
• This appliance is marked according to the
European directive 2002/96/EC on Waste
Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).
By ensuring that this product is disposed of
correctly, you are helping to protect the
environment and the health of other people.
Damage to the environment and health could
be caused by inappropriate disposal of this
product.
The symbol on the appliance or in the
information documents accompanying the
product indicates that this appliance may not
be treated as household waste. Instead, it shall
be handed over to the designated collection
point for the recycling of waste electrical and
electronic equipment.
Disposal must be carried out in accordance
with local environmental regulations for waste
disposal.
For more detailed information on the disposal,
reuse and recycling of this appliance, contact
your local city council, household waste
disposal service or specialist dealer where you
purchased the appliance.
4.Frost protection measures
Do not place the washing machine in a room in
which temperatures are likely to fall below zero.
If this is inevitable, make sure that the washing
machine is completely drained after each use:
• Remove the inlet hose(s) from the water tap
and let the water drain out completely.
• Remove the drain hose from the siphon or
washbasin and let the water drain out
completely.
• Let any residual water in the drum drain out
completely. Follow the instructions “Draining
residual water”; with the aid of another person,
carefully tilt the appliance forwards to let the
residual water drain out completely.
