02 Washing a load of laundry
Your washing machine has separate compartments for dispensing detergent and fabric softener.
Add all laundry additives to the correct compartment before starting your washing machine.
Donotopenthedetergentdrawerwhileyourwashingmachineisrunningoryoumightbe
exposed to hot water or steam.
1. Pull out the detergent drawer on the left side of the control
panel.
2. Add the recommended amount of laundry detergent
directly into the detergent compartment
before starting
your washing machine.
Touseliquiddetergent,usetheliquiddetergentbox(refer
to“LiquidDetergent”forthecorrespondingmodel).

Donotaddpowdereddetergentintotheliquiddetergentbox.
3. Add the recommended amount of fabric softener into the
softener compartment ifrequired.DONOT exceed the
MAXFILL( )line.
DoNOTaddanypowder/liquiddetergent to the softener
compartment(

4. WhenusingthePrewashoption,addtherecommended
amount of laundry detergent into the prewash
compartment
.
WhenwashinglargeitemsdoNOTusethefollowing
detergetnt types.
• Tabletandcapsuletypedetergents
• Detergentsusingaballandnet
Concentratedorthickfabricsoftenerandconditioner
must be diluted with a little water before being poured
intothedispenser(preventstheoverowfrombecoming
blocked).
Becarefulthatthefabricsoftenerdoesnotoverow,whenyouclosethedetergentdrawer
after adding fabric softener into the rinse detergent compartment.
Touseliquiddetergent,placetheliquiddetergentboxintothemainwashsectionofthe
detergentdrawerandpourliquiddetergentintotheliquiddetergentbox.
• DONOTllabovetheMAXline.
• Whenusingpowdereddetergent,removetheliquid
detergent box from the detergent drawer. Powdered
detergentwillnotdispensewithliquiddetergentbox.
• Afterawash,someliquidmayremaininthedetergent
drawer.
