the components will void any possible warranty or return privileges. If you do not fully understand modifications or changed that will be required to complete
your conversion, we strongly recommend that you contact our sales department for more information. This instruction sheet is only to be used for the
assembly of Advance Adapter components. We recommend that a service manual pertaining to your vehicle be obtained for specific torque values, wiring
diagrams and other related equipment. These manual are normally available at automotive dealerships and parts stores.
bolt holes should be cleaned, red Loctited and torqued to 30 ft./lbs.
Once the adapter plate is secured and orientated correctly, you'll now need to couple it onto the back of the stock transmission
tailhousing. The stock tailhousing used two dowel pins to align the stock transfer case to the transmission. These dowel pins must
be retained into the stock tailhousing for proper alignment of the Atlas onto the transmission.
Atlas Shifters:
Clearance on the FJ cruiser for the shifter is very tight on the floorboard as well as the transmission clearance. The photo's below
show the adapter blocks that provide additional clearance for the cables on the transmission. The new shifter block that mounts
to the Atlas will need to be modified like the one in the photo if the link block is used on the front output shaft shift rail.
