Activating XtraDry deactivates
TimeManager and vice versa.
7.4 TimeManager
TimeManager allows to reduce the
duration of a selected programme by
approximately 50%.
This option increases the pressure and
the temperature of the water. The
washing and the drying phases are
shorter.
The washing results are the same as
with the normal programme duration. The
drying results can decrease.
Activate TimeManager the following way:
Select a programme and press
.
If TimeManager is applicable to the
selected programme, the display shows
two values with corresponding
programme durations.
• Fast: select the value to activate
TimeManager and press to
confirm.
• Normal: select the value to
deactivate TimeManager and
press to confirm.

XtraDry and vice versa.
7.5 Child Lock
The option locks the touch buttons to
prevent accidental operation. Child Lock
can be activated while a programme is
running or when the appliance is
activated and ready for use.
Activating Child Lock
deactivates AirDry.
Activate Child Lock the following way:
Short press simultaneously and .
The display informs that Child Lock is
activated.
To deactivate Child Lock, repeat the
procedure.
8. BEFORE FIRST USE
When you activate the appliance for the
first time, you need to set the language
and time. The default language is
English.
1. Set the language.
• Press to confirm English.
• Select a different language and
press to confirm.
2. Set the time and press
to
confirm.
3. Make sure that the current level of
the water softener agrees with the
hardness of the water supply. If
not, adjust the level of the water
softener.
4. Fill the salt container.
5. Fill the rinse aid dispenser.
6. Open the water tap.
7. Start a programme to remove any
residuals from the manufacturing
process. Do not use detergent and
do put dishes in the baskets.
After starting the programme, the
appliance recharges the resin in the
water softener for up to 5 minutes. The
washing phase starts only after this
procedure is complete. The procedure is
repeated periodically.
8.1 The water softener
The water softener removes minerals
from the water supply, which would have
a negative effect on the washing results
and on the appliance.
The higher the content of these minerals,
the harder your water is. Water hardness
is measured in equivalent scales.
The water softener should be adjusted
according to the hardness of the water in
your area. Your local water authority can
advise you on the hardness of the water
in your area. It is important to set the
right level of the water softener to assure
good washing results.
