This warranty is not transferable and does not
cove r damag e or liab ility caused b y imp ro per
han dling, improper maintena nce, or the use of
accessories and/or attachments not specifically
recommended by

for this tool. Additionally,
this warranty does not cover tune-ups, spark
plugs, filters, starter ropes, starter springs, cut-
ting line, or rotating head parts th at will wear and
require replacement with reasonable use during
the warranty period. This warranty does not
cover predelivery setup or normal adjustments
explained in the instruction manual.

Agency/California Air Resources Board and

p leasedto explain theemission s co ntrol system
warranty on your year 2002--2004 small off--
road engine. In California, all new small off--road
engines must be designed , built, and equipped
to meet the State’s stringent anti--smog stan-
dards. ELECTROLUX HOME PRODUCTS,
I N C . , mu st warra nt t he emissio n control system
on your small off--road engine for the periods of
time listed below provided there has been no
abu se, neglect, or imprope r maintenance of
your small off--road engine engine. Y ou r emis-
sion control system includes parts such as the
ca rbur etor a nd th e ign ition system. Wh e r e a
warrantable condition exists, ELECTROLUX
HOME PRODUCT S,INC., will repa ir you r small
of f--road engine engine at no cost to you. Ex-
penses covered un der warranty include diagno-
sis, parts a nd labor .
MANUFACTURER’S
W ARRAN TY COVERAGE:
If any emissions
related part on your engine (as listed under
Emissions Cont rol Wa rranty Parts List) is defec-
tive or a defect in the materials or workmanship
of theengine causes thefailure of such an emis-
sion related part, the part will be repaired or re-
placed by ELECTROLUX HOME PROD-
UCTS, INC.
OWNER’S WARR ANTY RE-
SPONSIBILITIES:
As the small of f--road en-
gine engine owner , you are responsible for the
performance of the required maintenance listed
in your instruction manual. ELECTROLUX
HOME PRODUCT S, INC., recomme n ds tha t
you retain all receipts covering maintenance on
your small off--road engine, but ELECTROLUX
HOME PRODUCTS, INC., cannot deny war-
ranty solely for the lack of receipts or for your
failure to ensure the performance of all sched-
uled maintenance. As the small off--road en-
gine engine owner, you should be aware that
EL ECTR OLUX HOME PRODUCTS, INC.,
may deny you warranty coverage if your small
of f--road engine eng ine or a part of it has failed
due to abuse, neglect, improper maintenance,
unap proved modifications, or the use of parts
not made or approved by the original equipment
manufacturer . Y o u are responsible for present-

pair center as soon as a problem exists. War-
ranty repairs should be completed in a reason-
able amount of time, not to exceed 30 days. If
