Improper use of the grounded plug can result in the risk of electrical shock, if the power cord is
damaged, have it replaced by an authorized Avanti Products service center.
Grounding instructions.
Refer to serial plate for correct electrical rating. This appliance must be grounded. In the event of an
electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of an electric shock. This appliance is equipped
with three-prong cord with a ground plug. Do not, under any circumstances, cut or remove the
ground prong from the power cord supplied with this appliance. This appliance must be plugged into
an outlet that is properly grounded. Consult a qualified electrician for any questions as to whether
your home or business has the proper electrical connections. Receptacles with Ground Fault Circuit
Interrupters (GFCl) are NOT RECOMMENDED.
Use of e)ctension cords is not recommended.
Never unplug the refrigerator by pulling the power cord. Always grip the plug firmly and pull straight
out from the receptacle.
This appliance requires a standard 115/120 volt, 60Hz electrical outlet with three-prong ground.
The cord should be secured behind the appliance and not left exposed or dangling to prevent
accidental injury.
if voltage varies by 10 percent or more, refrigerator performance may be affected. Operating the
refrigerator with insufficient power can damage the motor. Such damage is not covered under the
warranty. If you suspect your household voltage is high or low, consult your power company for
testing.
Do not pinch, knot, or bend the power cord in any manner.
