Illuminated Capacity Gauge
The capacity gauge has four segments that illuminate from bottom to top to indicate
space used on the drive during the power-on state. Each segment represents
approximately 25 percent of drive capacity:
The illuminated capacity gauge only works when the WD SmartWare software is installed
on your computer.
Lock Indicator LED
The lock indicator LED shows whether the drive is password protected. It is turned off
only when you remove the password from the drive or the drive loses power.
Power/Activity LED
The power/activity LED shows the drive’s power state and activity as follows:
