Green Initiatives
It’s easy being green. And it’s nothing new for ZyXEL. Our
corporate culture since inception is one of accountabil-
ity and responsibility, including a sincere interest in gener-
ating a more positive social influence and persuade society
to contribute as well. ZyXEL has created a park next to its
headquarters that neutralizes a substantial amount of the
building’s carbon dioxide, thus improving the local work en-
vironment. Of course office materials are recycled and prod-
ucts designed to conserve power when not in active use.
ZyXEL’s corporate headquarters building utilizes glass sun-
roofs to save energy otherwise spent on daytime illumination.
Hallways and non-operational areas in the HQ building
run at only 50% illumination during the daytime to save
energy. The air conditioning in the HQ building is set to
maintain the 26 - 28°C/79°F - 82°F temperature to re-
duce energy consumption. And “Stair-climbing Parties”
are held to promote exercise and reduce elevator usage.
