The i is a powerhouse: its maximum torque
of Nm is available from just ,rpm.
BMW i.
The top-of-the-range engine is a BMW TwinPower Turbo V unit
combining two turbochargers with Double-VANOS and High Precision
Injection. These ensure a maximum torque of Nm, available from
, to ,rpm. With a maximum power output of kW (hp)
,
the engine takes just . seconds to accelerate the car from to km/h.
Thanks to High Precision Injection, it is also extremely fuel-ef cient.
BMW i.
This BMW TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder in-line petrol engine is also
available in conjunction with the pioneering xDrive all-wheel drive system
and combines a TwinScroll turbocharger with Valvetronic, Double-VANOS
and High Precision Injection. This package of intelligent innovations
signi cantly lowers fuel consumption while enabling impressive power:
kW (hp)
, a maximum torque of Nm, and acceleration from
to km/h in just . seconds (i xDrive: . seconds).
BMW i.
Responsive power and revving ability up to a dizzying redline of ,rpm:
this three-litre six-cylinder in-line petrol engine with High Precision Injection
offers outstanding performance. A power output of kW (hp)
accelerates the vehicle from to km/h in just . seconds. Its maximum
torque of Nm is reached as early as ,Nm, and the electronically
limited top speed is km/h. Average fuel consumption is .–. litres
per km.
BMW i.
This .-litre BMW TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder petrol unit has
an all-aluminium crankcase and makes its Nm maximum torque
available from as little as ,rpm. This is thanks to BMW TwinPower
Turbo technology, combining High Precision Injection, Valvetronic,
Double-VANOS and a TwinScroll turbocharger. As a result, the BMW –
which is also available with the innovative xDrive all-wheel drive system –
accelerates from to km/h in a brisk . seconds (i xDrive:
. seconds), thanks to the excellent response of its TwinScroll
turbocharger and its kW (hp)
of power. Top speed is km/h
(i xDrive: km/h), and fuel consumption is an excellent .–. litres
(i xDrive: .–. litres) per kilometres.
BMW i.
This BMW TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder petrol engine with
High Precision Injection, Valvetronic, Double-VANOS and a TwinScroll
turbocharger combines powerful engine output with high ef ciency.
The two-litre unit produces an output of kW (hp)
and a maximum
torque of Nm, enabling the BMW to accelerate from to km/h in
. seconds, with a top speed of km/h. Average fuel consumption is
.–. litres per km.
BMW d.
This range-topping diesel with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology
combines CommonRail direct injection and two sequential turbochargers
with variable turbine geometry. Its Nm maximum torque is already
available in the low ,–,rpm range. The smooth, extremely
responsive six-cylinder in-line engine delivers kW (hp)
of power.
This model is also available in BMW d xDrive guise. Acceleration
from to km/h takes . seconds, and average fuel consumption
is .–. litres (d xDrive: .–. litres) per kilometres. The all-
wheel drive system further enhances traction and directional stability.
BMW d.
This dynamic .-litre BMW TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder in-line diesel
engine, combining CommonRail direct injection with a turbocharger
with variable turbine geometry, delivers an output of kW (hp)
,
accelerating the BMW from to km/h in . seconds. Its maximum
torque of Nm will thrill you time and again, just like its outstanding
effi ciency: average fuel consumption is just .–. litres (d xDrive:
.–. litres) of diesel per kilometres.
BMW d.
This two-litre BMW TwinPower Turbo engine delivers kW (hp)
of power, and combines CommonRail direct injection with two sequential
turbochargers and variable turbine geometry. Its maximum torque of
Nm is available from just ,rpm. The BMW d, which is also
available in combination with the innovative xDrive all-wheel drive system,
accelerates from to km/h in . seconds (d xDrive: . seconds);
top speed is km/h (d xDrive: km/h). Average fuel consumption
is .–. litres (d xDrive: .–. litres) of diesel per kilometres.
BMW d.
This BMW TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder diesel with CommonRail
direct injection and a turbocharger with variable turbine geometry
boasts kW (hp)
of power and a maximum torque of Nm of
torque available from ,rpm to ,rpm. This makes for an excellent
response to the accelerator pedal, while fuel consumption is a very
effi cient .–. litres of diesel per km. This is partly due to the Auto
Start/Stop function, which turns off the engine when you are stopping
at a traffi c light, for example. Performance: to km/h in . seconds.

Lots of power, low emissions – the effi cient BMW
TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder in-line diesel engine
in the BMW d.
The diesel engines. All BMW Series diesel models come with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology and impress with their refi ned power and
superlative effi ciency. The latest CommonRail technology combines smoothness and economy with excellent accelerator response and tremendous
revving ability. All available models use lightweight aluminium engineering and come with a maintenance-free particle fi lter as standard. There are
three six-cylinder in-line engines and three four-cylinder models to choose from. BMW BluePerformance, a technology that signifi cantly reduces
nitrogen oxide emissions, is included as standard in the BMW Md xDrive and available as an option for the BMW d and the BMW d (only in
conjunction with automatic transmission). It ensures that these vehicles already comply with the EU emissions standard due to be introduced in .
