Conveyor Position:
The conveyor should be positioned at the exit end of the printer or dryer.
It can be used at a right-angleto the system (as shown on the front cover of this document) or
in-line. The TB-659 is most commonly used at a right-angleto the system.
Right Angle Use:
The entrance end of the conveyor is
equipped with a cross stacking guide [A].
This guide is used to keep the media above
the belt surface, until it has totally exited from
the printer or dryer. The conveyor should be
positioned so the cross stacking guide is
located under the back edge of the media.
As the media exits onto the conveyor, it will
ride along this guide. Once the media has
completely left the printer or dryer it will drop
and hit the conveyor belts.
Tip: If the media is hesitating (not being
pulled by the conveyor belts) after it drops;
move the conveyor a little to the left, so less of the media is in contact with the cross
stacking guide. Depending on the speed of the media exiting the printer or dryer, the use of
this guide may or may not be necessary. If you don’t need the guide, just move the
conveyor so the media does not touch this guide as it exits onto the conveyor.
In-Line Use:
The Cross Stacking Guide and Paper Stop Assembly and can be removed from the unit.
Paper Stop Adjustment:
The Paper Stop should be adjusted to control the
position of the media, as it exits onto the
conveyor. Loosen the two thumb screws [B] and
slide the Paper Stop to the desired location, then
tighten the thumb screws.
The three thumb screws [C], located on the
angled part of the Paper Stop, are used to adjust
the media control fingers. These fingers should be
adjusted so the bottoms of the fingers just touch
the top of the media. This helps reduce media
bounce-back as it hits the paper stop.
WARNING: If the bottom edge of the paper guide is positioned on a belt, you must reposition
the belt or the paper guide. If not; the guide will rub on the belt and cause damage.
